WOW! What an incredible performance of the musical Flakes! by all students at Crestview!!! Congratulations to our amazing staff and students for a wonderful production! I was so impressed by everyone's positive and energetic singing, dancing, and acting! Great job to everyone for making it all come together!!
On Wednesday, Dec. 17th, Crestview students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 gathered in the gym to put on a giant production of the musical Flakes! There was singing, acting, dancing, and so much more! I am so lucky to be part of such an amazing school with supportive staff and families of the students at Crestview! Thank you for making my beginning at Crestview so magical and exciting!
I am looking forward to many more musicals together at Crestview!
Thank you to all the families for getting costumes together and helping learn songs and speaking parts at home. I know that it is a big job at home and we couldn't have done it without you!
A GIANT thank you goes out to all staff members for giving up so much of their "free" time to help with costumes, make-up, scene rehearsals, acting, set making, choreography, and so much more! I couldn't have done it without all of you! THANK YOU!!
If you have pictures or videos of the concert I would love to see them. Please send me an email and we can exchange some videos or pictures!
Have a wonderful holiday! Until next year...

STAR SINGERS!!
The Crestview Grade 3-5 Choir is made up of 40 students in Grades 3, 4, and 5. They have been attending choir rehearsals since the end of September and have been learning a lot about what it means to be a great singer! They attend a 30 minute rehearsal every Day 6 at lunch. At the end of each rehearsal, I announce a STAR SINGER for that days rehearsal.
A STAR SINGER is a student who arrives on time for each rehearsal, focuses their attention for the entire rehearsal, helps others around him or her to be better, and has a good attitude in everything they do! Congratulations to the following students this term for being such amazing and focused singers! Keep up the hard work!

Winter Concert!
Hello from the Music Room!
Our Winter Concert is approaching fast!
Kindergarten-Grade 5 students will be performing in the musical Flakes! on
December 17th at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Letters will be sent home this week
regarding costumes for each student. We are excited to put on this funny and
heart-warming show for everyone. We strongly encourage those that are able to
attend the afternoon performance to do so as the evening show has limited
seating available. The show is expected to be about one hour in length. We hope
to see everyone there to support our students!
Thank you,

Hello and Welcome from Mrs. Dunk!
Welcome to the Crestview Music Room Blog!
I am the new music teacher at Crestview. I am excited to be involved in helping students find and continue developing their love for music at Crestview!
I have been involved in music since I was a small girl. I started piano lessons at age 5 and have been teaching piano since I was 14! I loved building relationships with my piano students and that's when I realized I wanted to be a music teacher. I also sing in a choir known as Horizon, part of Prairie Voices Inc. I love teaching choir and am excited to have started rehearsing with the Grades 3-5 Choir at Crestview already this year.

Crestview Singers choir rehearsals are every Day 6 at lunch and attendance of every member is mandatory. Everyone's attendance is necessary in order for the success of our group! Thank you for encouraging your son or daughter to participate in the choir this year! It will be fun!
I love dancing and enjoy running in various marathons and triathlons around the city. Being active is important to me in my personal life as well as keeping active and moving in the music room. Every class has already started learning a dance!
Please stay tuned on our school blog for any important updates and to see what we are up to in the music room!
